The Park Centre has been established since 2004, and offers a professional, modern and safe place for those seeking therapy.


Hours of opening are Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 9.00 pm and Saturday 9.00 am to 2.00 pm.


Located close to the centre of Coventry and within easy reach of both the railway and bus stations. For those traveling by car there is two-hour parking outside.

 

Our practitioners offer a wide choice of counselling services including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma therapy, Hypnotherapy, Couple and Individual Counselling, Art therapy, Counselling for Young People and Integrative therapy are available.  We also have counsellors who can work with Autistic children and adults.

Dr Julia Brewer (DPsych, CPsychol) – Counselling Psychologist

Affiliations: Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered. Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Qualifications: Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (Regent’s University, London); Post-graduate certificate in evidence-based psychological therapies (University of Reading); Certificate in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (CPPD London); BSC (Hons) Psychology (University of Leeds).

Experience: With 10 years’ experience offering psychological therapy in the NHS, I am experienced in working with a wide range of issues including (but not limited to): anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, life transitions, abuse and trauma, grief and loss, stress, self-esteem issues, suicidal thoughts, personality issues.

Specialisms: I have extensive experience working with trans, non-binary and gender diverse clients and supporting clients who are exploring their gender identity and/or sexuality.

Therapy: As a Counselling Psychologist I am trained in various psychotherapeutic approaches and in therapy-related research. This enables me to draw on existential, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and compassion-focused approaches, to find an approach that works best for you as a unique individual with unique life experiences.

My way of working is to explore with you your current difficulties, develop a shared understanding of how they may have come about and support you to find a way of moving forward. Fundamental to this and therefore my primary focus is developing a therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe, heard and accepted.

Qualifications

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist working in Coventry and offer help with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma (including childhood traumas), OCD and self-esteem issues.  Other areas of my work include therapy for bereavement issues and broader life difficulties. 

My background is in NHS mental health services, psychotherapy services and within the voluntary sector.  I have been in practice for thirty years.

Specialising: I have substantial experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds following an extensive career in the socially engaged creative arts and third sector. Throughout my career I have worked with people experiencing a range of difficulties including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and identity.

Therapy: Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy is a talking therapy which is helpful in managing a wide range of emotional and relationship issues. Janice Hardy - Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Sabrina Jezo - I am the founder of Rootz and Powerz counselling and EFT therapy.

​I am a person centred therapist who curtails my work to suit the individual needs of the client. This may include working creatively or incorporating psycho education in to the work we do to support self-awareness and understanding how your body has adapted to the traumas you have experienced throughout your life.

My ways of working is to support clients with the space to understand and manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours through connecting mind, body, and soul rather than treating these separately. 

 Trauma is not what happens to us but what happens inside of us because of what has been experienced. The more you learn to understand yourself; the more you can embark on and embrace your journey of life.

I am also a EFT practitioner. EFT therapy is tapping therapy which works by tapping on the pressure points  to support the energy system within the body.  

I offer therapy to children, young people and adults through walk and talk sessions, face to face sessions and remote sessions via telephone, texted based or video calling.

Katie McLean: Counsellor, Psychotherapist and CBT Therapist

Experience: I have worked as a qualified therapist in the NHS for 20+ years, offering a range of therapies and supervision

Specialisms: Depression and anxiety disorders, abuse, loss & trauma. LGBTQ+ friendly therapist

Therapy: My core training was in Humanistic Therapy and I later trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I have done lots of additional training and learning to develop my skills including in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to work on understanding and coming to terms with past and present experiences and on making changes in the present and future, for those who wish to. If we work together, I will take time to understand you and your experience of the world.

Jessica Parry

I'm Jess (pronouns: she/her) and I offer online/phone/face-to-face therapy sessions to children, young people, and adults.  I pride myself on my ability to build a warm and comfortable relationship with my clients and see this as central to my success in assisting personal understanding growth. I deliver confidential, professional, and non-judgemental support through an integrative approach to therapy. I combine the theories and techniques of: person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), systemic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and creative therapies, to allow for the most therapeutic impact for the individual needs of each client. Harpal Singh -

Qualifications and affiliations: BACP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist – University of Warwick.

Specialising: I have a significant amount of experience working with clients whom have experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression, social anxiety, low self-esteem and bereavement, worked in depth with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and ethnicities and I am aware of the cultural issues they face on a daily basis. The current pandemic have made clients feel even more anxious and I am there to listen to your anxieties brought on with this pandemic. I have worked both with adults, university students and teenagers and I have several years of experience working within a university and school setting.

I am a Person Centred Counsellor I work closely with you and work towards working with your inner feelings as I believe that you are the expert in what is best for you and I can help you experience these feelings and I can help you make the changes you really want for yourself which will make you feel less anxious and you are able to live a fulfilled life.

Dr Rita Squarza

In 25 years of working in the psychology and neuroscience field, I have helped adults and young adults with a variety of life’s challenges, including personality and brain disorders.
